NDE — consistent management of non-destructive examination reports
NDE organises the issuing and management of non-destructive examination reports at plant level. The solution brings together data entry, access by report type, associated documents, and closure control so that teams can manage examination documentation consistently.
Four report types
The application supports reports for ultrasonic examination, visual examination and liquid penetrant testing, visual examination and magnetic particle testing, and immersion ultrasonic examination. These document types are managed within the same application, with authorised access for each category.
Consistent data entry and information reuse
Define default field values and use both manually entered data and lists of predefined values. Lists can be extended, modified, reordered, and configured with a default value. Where possible, the application can retrieve information from other systems, such as orders, products, and serial numbers, reducing repeated data entry.
Controlled access and editing
Permissions are defined by report type. During multiuser operation, a document is locked while it is being edited. Audit data covers creation and the most recent save. These controls help teams coordinate document completion and avoid simultaneous changes to the same report.
Closure, unlocking, and distribution
Closing a report locks it against editing, and unlocking is available only to a supervisor with special access. Reports can be sent by email only after closure. The application includes handwritten signature support within the issued documentation.
Attachments, historical formats, and analysis
Attach images, PDFs, and other files to each report. If a certificate layout changes, older documents can be printed using their original format. An Excel report extracts data for analysis, complementing access to report records.
The brochure includes application screenshots and certificate examples, preserved as in the source document.
