MTR — quality documents and traceability for delivered products
MTR brings together the data needed to generate Material Test Reports for delivered products. The solution also supports the creation of heat treatment certificates and mechanical test reports. Information from supplier documents and internal records is organised in a shared repository for easier access and less repetitive work when preparing quality documents.
Linked data for a complete report
The MTR combines three categories of information: chemical composition, mechanical properties, and heat treatment parameters. Chemical composition comes from the melt heat. Mechanical properties are associated with the melt heat and the QTC heat treatment batch, while heat treatment parameters come from the heat treatment batch. Linking these data helps teams prepare documentation for the delivered product.
Traceability across components and assemblies
The application manages unique component serialisation, described in the source documentation in the context of PSL 3 requirements. Each serial number retains links to the melt heat, heat treatment batch, and mechanical test report. Individually identified components can be organised into multilevel assemblies, maintaining the relationship between the product structure and its quality data.
An organised workflow from data to documents
The documented workflow includes entering data from documents, importing from SAP, defining assembly trees, serialisation, validation, and document generation. Associated information includes suppliers, product codes, serial numbers, inspection lots, production orders, and delivery notes. This workflow connects the records needed to prepare quality documents.
Less repetitive work and easier access to data
Structured storage and data validation aim to prevent errors and simplify the recording of quality information. Reusing data to generate documents reduces redundant activities, while access to information associated with components supports traceability within the quality system.
